Photographing everywhere there is love and light | Detroit | Ann Arbor | Chicago & Worldwide

onelight workshop detroit

Did you know that I am an available light photographer 100% of the time? I am. I look in my bag, see that my Vivitar 285 or Sunpak 120j is available to me and I use that. :)

Zach Arias is coming to Detroit and I’m hosting him and his Onelight Workshop! I’m so excited. I didn’t do much advertising about it here because well, it sold out in no time flat, there was such a long waiting list that I’m now hosting TWO days! I’m totally excited. I love his attitude, and I love making light work for me, not being dependent on it’s whims and the weather!

There are so many awesome photographers who are coming, from the Detroit area and as far away as Canada and New York (and I don’t mean Windsor either lol) It’s going to be great to meet them and to learn and fine tune a technique I love. We’ll be working with some great models too!

Off camera flash lighting is such a easy versatile way to get what you need fast, clean and easy! If you’ve had a session with me chances are we’ve used it, chances are if you look at my portfolio you wouldn’t even know for sure with some images whats natural and what not! That’s the great thing about off camera compact lighting!

If you are a photographer who is going to be coming to the Detroit workshop let me know! Leave a comment, leave your site! Email if you already haven’t with any questions or just to say hi! Looking forward to meeting you all!

"there is grandeur in this view of life... that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved." - darwin

I still keep a blog, it's consistently regularly updated but not often. I like it because I can go back almost 10 years and see how I've grown and changed as an artist and how my studio has changed along with me.

Sharing my latest work both personal and commercial. Leave a comment or say hello :)
