How can one ignore the weather we have been having, and I for one, despite fears that the world is tipping to it’s side and this is a sign of imminent ice age, have decided that we are not going to take one warm, sunny day for granted. So Kerri and I took a road trip west, well as far as two hours and a half a tank of gas would get us, to explore and see what we could see. It was so needed, it felt amazing to be outside, we got warm in jeans and light sweaters, and we took some photos. So many towns are closed up, or closing up, abandoned buildings and slow streets. But there are people doing cool stuff too. We discovered a gorgeous antique shop in the middle of nowhere, with some beautiful finds (I wanted the vintage mink wrap but decided in truth I had no where to wear it…), a turn off where the kids obviously hung out near a nature reserve and an old bookstore that let you pick and pay called ‘honor books”. I’m looking forward already to our next day exploring..
Jocelyn EdinFriends, road trip, sunshine, handmade signs! Sounds perfect.
