merry winter . happy christmas

The solstice has come and gone and in it’s wake is winter.  The snow we’ve had, a light dusting, enough to make everything so much prettier – but not enough to force me to put on my boots to go anywhere – is welcome.  I couldn’t help but photograph it when it was new, I was worried it’d melt away.  Today is Christmas and I took very few photos, instead I just really enjoyed being with my family and wishing far away (and near by) friends merry on facebook.  I don’t have any photos to share from today, but these are a few from the solstice snow, we had a dusting today as well and it was just as pretty.

Before I curl up in my new slippers and a new book (santa did awesome) I wanted to wish everyone everywhere a happy holiday, may the goodness in all your lives grow just as the days now are getting longer and the sun growing warmer.
