field trip . cousins . detroit institute of arts

The end of a michigan winter finds me like a shaken soda bottle, ready to explode and so, as February moves toward March I am all about field trips.  Marc, Ares Cousin, is with us five days a week and his sister Ella is hanging with my sister so we decided a trip to the DIA was in order and boy was it!  It was Marc’s first visit (and Ella’s too) to the museum and they loved it.  Ares always does, the weather was turning warm and we spent the afternoon exploring.  I was really excited to see Van Gogh’s “Bedroom in Arles” (though no photos were allowed) and the kids found the armor, and the echos in the big hall pretty entertaining.  The star attraction of the day was a german film about a rube goldberg type cause and effect apparatus!

"there is grandeur in this view of life... that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved." - darwin

I still keep a blog, it's consistently regularly updated but not often. I like it because I can go back almost 10 years and see how I've grown and changed as an artist and how my studio has changed along with me.

Sharing my latest work both personal and commercial. Leave a comment or say hello :)
