I got to be part of a freaking wonderful day and I’ll be in Guinnessnnes Book of World Records. Ypsilanti, Michigan and support the Yankee Air Museum this Saturday! I didn’t get to be there two years ago and jumped at the chance to go on a no wedding weekend!!!
Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies.[1]These women sometimes took entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who joined the military. Rosie the Riveter is used as a symbol of feminism and women’s economic power.[3]
I wanted to capture all the different women and the few men too, who were celebrating the women who changed how we saw ourselves and moved women into a new realm of possibility! What was extra special is there were 58 “original” Rosies, women who changed the world and helped us to win World War II while doing it!!
susanAiii! Awesome! I love every one of these photos; I didn’t want them to end :)
