A friend of mine was talking on her blog the other day about a conversation she had had about “why” she takes photos, what it means to her to be a photographer. It made me think about it (well I dwell on this all the time lol but it made me focus in on it...
Caitlin Domanico PhotographyI haven’t seen Pecker in about 10 years…I’m thinking I should get it off netflix and revisit! I agree, photography is something that’s in you. I too have the constant “need” to take photos. If I don’t have my camera with me I actually feel pained when I see a neat shot.
When people like one of my pix, they often say, wow, what camera do you use? It’s fun when they life one of my pix I took with a crappy little point and shoot and I jokingly remind them, good photos come from people, not necessarily the cameras. :)
Jen Dlikewise… i LOVED Pecker! and its been too long. thanks for the reminder… of to revise my netflix queue!
Cristina Trapani-ScottI loved the movie Pecker!!!! I remember hearing John Waters interviewed on NPR when the movie came out. He was talking about how the title kept some theaters from running the movie. Ha, ha, ha. Waters brought up a couple of other movie titles that were never given a second thought. I remember Octopussy was one of them.
Now, I want to go rent the movie and see it again. Full of grace, full of grace!!!
